Absentee Report With Comments |
Description:Let me preface this by saying that I had nothing to do with the creation of this awesomely useful report. It was created by Aaron Rudy and the intelligent people at Phoenix Learning. If you find yourself overwhelmed or in need of assistance regarding any aspect of PowerSchool I highly recommend you contact Phoenix Learning.That said, this is a better version of Powerschool's built in absentee report which is probably run on a daily basis in every school's front office. It is formatted much like the original absentee report except that it includes the students homeroom teacher, and any attendance comments that have been entered. Please note a few things: 1. The homeroom teacher is pulled from a custom field my district uses called "primary_teacher". If you are familiar with how to alter a report engine, you could change this column to pull from any field. 2. Comments only show up if you use daily attendance mode for the report. 3. This is not your typical object report. It is a series of three reporting engine reports that merge together. Which is exactly the way the original absentee report is setup. |
Installation:1. Download and unzip the three report files "PSATT_ABSENTEE_COM.rpt", "PSATT_ABSENTEE_D_COM.rpt", and "PSATT_ABSENTEE_M_COM.rpt"2. In powerschool navigate to reports - reporting engine - load one local report, and upload all three report files in this order: PSATT_ABSENTEE_COM.rpt then PSATT_ABSENTEE_D_COM.rpt then PSATT_ABSENTEE_M_COM.rpt. 3. Now you will see a new report in the report engine section called "PSATT_ABSENTEE_COM". I would highly suggest putting a link to this report right under the existing absentee report on the powerschool homepage. |
